Towards the end of 2015, I had the privilege of meeting Jody Dontje and joining her in working as her donation tin manager for her appeal. Since that time, I have witnessed firsthand- the genuine passion and determination Jody has for helping those in need. As a Christian wanting to assist and serve those suffering as a result of poverty- I totally uphold the charity’s philosophy of living for others. It has been really satisfying to collect donations (however small) and assist in spreading the word about Jody’s organisation. Jody’s journey is an inspiring one- demonstrating the power of love, commitment and hard work. I hope all the best for her charity into the future and that the donations raised can continue to assist the development of a sustainable livelihood for the people of Nepal.
